Completed in 2015 Back to Health is based in Kirkbymoorside and is run by Sara Gray. She wanted a clear, simple site which shows the range of work she undertakes. She’s hoping to blog quite regularly.
Ryedale School was a big project started in August 2014. The old school website and a music department site needed to be amalgamated and a lot of new content was added. To see how the site is being developed for both in class learning and homework visit academic/department/music and look at the right hand column menu where there is a wide range of learning materials. It is hoped this will be extended across departments.
Noelle’s Cottages is located in Middleton on the outskirts of Pickering and owners Tim and Noelle Thornton were keen to portray the beautiful properties they offer discerning travellers. Sliders were used for each of these and leaves no doubt that these cottages are a great place to stay and explore the North York Moors.
The organisers of the Ten out of Ten hospitality training programme wanted a new site that would attract young people eager to work in some of the best hotels in the country. A blog has been added with the hope that participants will post about their experiences.
A mother and daughter team have established Town Farm House B&B in Kirkbymoorside with just two letting rooms and the offer of great hospitality. They are hoping to attract walkers and cyclists as well as business people needing low cost short stays. As well as building the site we took the photographs.
With so many wood burning stoves being used locally Brian Pask Logs is a successful local business but until recently one without a website. Brian wanted a simple and attractive site that showed the range of products he had available and clear contact details. As he’s not a computer user himself he didn’t want to have online ordering but has reported positive feedback from customers who have discovered him online. We wrote some introductory blog posts, some with embedded You Tube videos, which we hope readers will find useful.
A nationally operating conference specialist QT Events are gradually adding new content to a site which is yet to be completed. However while this is being compiled they realise the importance of blogging and have being posting on the site since September last year. By the time the site is finally finished they will have a large number of posts indicating the range of services they offer.
Ruth Smith offers holistic massage, reflexology and relaxation classes at her own clinic as well as other natural health centres in Ryedale. The Little Therapy Room is nearing completion and that just leaves Ruth to regularly blog which is keen to do!
These are just a few of the sites Social Ryedale have completed in recent months. We also founded, designed, manage and sponsor three local town blogs for Kirkbymoorside, Helmsley and Pickering. If you’d like to see more or discuss your requirements then please get in touch.
All of these sites are built using WordPress using the highly adaptable Canvas theme.
Canvas was built by Woo Themes and is their flagship product for good reason. It is highly customisable so we can modify the design, layout and typography to completely meet your needs.
Of course I occasionally use another theme – here local florists Lush and Lang wanted a single page site so the Simple Key theme was used. With their wonderful floral photographs it works well though can be a little slow to download being a single page.
